UC, UH Award Scholarships

Andrea Lindell, DNSc, dean of the College of Nursing (left) and David Stern, MD, (far right) dean of the College of Medicine, presented three minority students with scholarships to the colleges of nursing and medicine June 21.
Incoming nursing student Mae-lesha Lee (second from left), a Taft High School information technology graduate, will receive $40,000 over four years, funded by University Hospital (UH). Vanessa Martin, who graduated from Dayton Christian High School with a 4.0 grade point average, will receive $10,000 over four years, funded by UH and UC College of Nursing. UH also awarded a four-year, $20,000 scholarship to incoming medical student Yetnayet Zewege, a cum laude graduate of UC.
