Published February 2008
The fourth annual UC Community Cancer Education Day will be held Saturday, May 10, officials at the UC Barrett Cancer Center at University Hospital announced.
The event offers the latest information about the possible causes, risk factors, screening recommendations, treatment options and outcomes for all types of cancer.
In addition to self-guided information booths and video presentations, attendees can have their questions answered one-on-one with local oncologists and researchers.
“Unfortunately, cancer has become the most common cause of death in the United States,” explains event chair William Barrett, MD, “but knowledge can be powerful—and that is especially true when it comes to cancer.”
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at University Pointe in West Chester. The free event is open to the public. For more information, call (513) 584-9097.
