Published July 2008
Jeff Susman, MD, chair of family medicine, was one of 16 national family medicine leaders to be selected by the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Foundation as a Bishop Fellow for the upcoming academic year.
The Bishop Fellowship Program began in 2000 as a way to prepare senior family medicine faculty to assume positions of greater responsibility in academic medicine and health care leadership. It is named after Marian Bishop, MD, former president of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Foundation.
The Bishop Fellowship works in partnership with the American Council on Educationís (ACE) Fellowship Program, allowing Bishop Fellows to also be awarded ACE Fellowships.
