Lindner Center Granted Medicare Provider Status

The Lindner Center of HOPE has been accepted as a psychiatric hospital in the Medicare program by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Ser-vices based on its accreditation from the Joint Commission and a survey conducted by federal surveyors.
Medicare is a social insurance program administered by the United States government, providing health insurance coverage to people who are aged 65 and over, or who meet other special criteria.
The Lindner Center of HOPE, which is affiliated with the UC College of Medicine, provides care for individuals with mental illness.
It serves patients aged 11 and older through fully integrated inpatient, outpatient, research and voluntary, live-in services.
Paul Keck, MD, professor and executive vice chair of UCís psychiatry department, is the president and chief executive officer of the Lindner Center of HOPE.
