Nurse Transition Program Graduates Its Second Class

In partnership with the Air Force, the University Hospital Nurse Transition Program provides novice-level nurses with the clinical training and experience needed to become a U.S. Air Force nurse corps officer.

As part of their training, the nurses spent nine weeks with nurse preceptors and completed rotations in the hospitalís center for emergency care, cardiovascular intensive care unit, burn unit, endoscopy clinic, Holmes same-day surgery and respiratory therapy.

University Hospital was the first civilian hospital in the country to offer the Nurse Transition Program.
