Daniel Drake Medal
Updated: 01/21/14: In 1985, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine celebrated the 200th anniversary of the birth of its founder, pioneering physician Daniel Drake. As part of that celebration, the college created a new award—the Daniel Drake Medal—to honor its distinguished living faculty and alumni.

Cardiovascular Diseases
Updated: 07/07/14: Cardiovascular-related research and clinical care are key focuses at the University of Cincinnati, University of Cincinnati Medical Center and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
Center for Surgical Innovation
Updated: 07/24/13: A collaboration of the surgery and biomedical engineering departments, the Center for Surgical Innovation and its team of multidisciplinary experts in surgery, telemedicine and information technology are developing and disseminating technologies that make a tangible difference in surgical and medical care across the world as we move into an age of bio-intelligence.
Hoxworth Blood Center
Updated: 02/06/12: Hoxworth Blood Center is a division of the UC Academic Health Center and is the only blood center for the greater Cincinnati area.
Metabolic Diseases Institute
Updated: 02/07/12: The Metabolic Diseases Institute on UC's Reading Campus (formerly the Genome Research Institute) was founded in 2001 with a gift of land and facilities from Aventis Pharmaceuticals and funded by the Ohio Third Frontier Project. It is home to internationally recruited scientists researching the genetic basis of some of the world’s most serious and prevalent diseases, including obesity, heart disease and cancer.
Updated: 01/01/14: Neuroscience research and the provision of neurological clinical care is a key focus at the University of Cincinnati, University of Cincinnati Medical Center and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
College of Allied Health Sciences
Updated: 07/01/14: The College of Allied Health Sciences, UC’s 16th college, was founded in 1998 to unite programs spread throughout the university, including communication disorders, nutrition, medical technology, physical therapy and social work.
College of Medicine
Updated: 10/01/18: The College of Medicine was established in 1819 and is considered the oldest medical college west of the Allegheny Mountains.
College of Nursing
Updated: 01/06/12: Founded in 1889, UC’s College of Nursing was the first school in the country to offer a baccalaureate program in nursing, and received the first endowment ever given to a nursing program
James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy
Updated: 09/25/12: UC's James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy, one of the oldest pharmacy colleges in the United States, offers both professional practice (PharmD) and graduate (MS and PhD) degrees. Supported by an active research faculty, the college provides students with an opportunity to develop their individual skills.

Cincinnati Cancer Center
Updated: 06/12/12: Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center have made a five-year commitment to invest up to $60 million to form the Cincinnati Cancer Center, a joint cancer program in southern Ohio. The joint effort seeks to coordinate life-long oncology care and combine the scientific and intellectual resources necessary to produce internationally significant research.
UC Cancer Institute
Updated: 08/17/16: Under the direction of William Barrett, MD, the UC Cancer Institute is entering a new era of growth and development, rapidly increasing its research and patient care capacities so that it may lead not only in academic and scientific endeavors, but also in delivering comprehensive patient care to people in the community.
UC Early Stage Drug Development Program
Updated: 12/10/12: The UC Early Stage Drug Development Program is a phase-1 clinical trial unit based at the University of Cincinnati Cancer Institute. 
UC Health University of Cincinnati Physicians
Updated: 12/12/12: University of Cincinnati Physicians is the practice group for clinical faculty members at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Approximately 700 clinicians provide clinical services in nearly every health care specialty.
